Elnora Anderson of 961 Alexander Ave.,Monessen,died Tuesday May 18,1982 at 9:05 p.m. in Jefferson Center, South Hills Health System. She was 83. Mrs. Anderson was born Jan. 21,1899,in Severn, N.C.,a daughter of the late Trotten and Mary Ricks. She had lived in Monessen for over 50 years, having moved there from North Carolina. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen,and the church's Missionary Circle,Usher Board and Nurses Board. Survivors include four sons, Earl H. Flythe of New York City,N.Y.,John Q. Flythe of Boston, Earnest Anderson Jr.,of Donora and Emmanuel Anderson of Monessen;three daughters,Doris Redwine and Betty McWilliams,both of Monessen and Anna Reed of New York City;20 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thrusday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen. Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Mount Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen,with the Rev. Griffith Mason officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R. Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
