Ellen E.Augustine;64;of 138 Homewood Ave.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly Thursday;Feb.11;1982. Mrs.Augustine had taken ill this morning on her way to work at Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.;where she had been employed as a seamstress for over 25 years. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Born April 30;1917 in Fairhope;she was the daughter of the late Mr.and Mrs.Thomas Palfrey. She was a member and deacon of Marion Presbyterian Church. Mrs.Augustine was preceded in death by her husband;Joseph on Sept.28;1976. Survivors include a son;Thomas J.Augustine of Charleroi;R.D.3;two brothers;Frank Palfrey of Stockdale and Thomas Palfrey of Marinac;Fla.;a sister;Marian Gauden of Pensacola;Fla.;and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.Mary Howard;pastor;Marion Presbyterian Church;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
