Obituary

Agnes Antal of 369 May St.,North Belle Vernon,died Thursday,April 16,1981 at 3:30 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 101. Mrs.Antal was born Feb.5,1880,in Kracow,Poland,a daughter of the late John and Julia Golema,and came to the United States in 1902. She began her married life in Pricedale,but soon moved to Belle Vernon,where she spent the rest of her life. Mrs.Antal was a member of Saint Sebastian R.C.Church in Belle Vernon. She was predeceased by her husband,Martin Antal Sr.,in 1962. Survivors include seven daughters,Mrs.Anna Cernicky of Hamden.Mass.,Mrs.Helen Bassar of Midland,Pa.,Mrs.Mary Leonard of Wheeling,West Va.,Mrs.Walter (Elizabeth) Lucas,Pauline Antal,Mrs.Sophie Nusser and Mrs.James (Stella) Trenk,all of Belle Vernon,four sons,John of Baltimore,Md.,Martin Jr.,Stephen and Joseph,all of Belle Vernon,31 grandchildren,46 great-grandchildren,and four great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at noon in the funeral home followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Due to Holy Week,a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday,April 20,at 10 a.m. in Saint Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
