Obituary

 

Helen Thompson Zeli, 66, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at her home. Born Oct. 16, 1947, in Brownsville, she was the daughter of the late George E. Thompson and her mother, Maxine Dale Thompson, who survives and resides in Grindstone. Mrs. Zeli was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Belle Vernon and was retired as an elementary school teacher from the Belle Vernon Area School District. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Zeli, to whom she was married 45 years, two sons and daughters-in-law, Lance and Amie Zeli of Canonsburg and Sam and Melissa Zeli of Youngwood, five grandchildren, Katie Zeli, Lance C. Zeli, Jaxon Zeli, Luke Zeli and Ethan Zeli, a brother and sister-in-law, George E. Spanky and wife, Lorrain, Thompson Jr. of Waldorf, Md., sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Blaine Sphar of Grindstone, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Suzanne Z. Currie, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The North Belle Vernon Fire Department will conduct services at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and the officers and members of First Presbyterian Church will hold services at 7 p.m. Tuesday, both in the funeral home.
