Obituary

 

Edward Kostella, 72, of Rostraver Township, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, in his home. A son of the late John and Mary Gongoski Kostella, he was born in Rostraver Township on March 25, 1942. A lifelong resident of Rostraver, he was Catholic by faith, a member of Teamsters Local 585, and employed by Joy Mining Co., Houston warehouse. He was an avid gardener, fisherman and hunter. Survivors include one sister, Mary Rita Rozik, with whom he made his home, and her beloved friend, Joseph Repine of Belle Vernon, and Ed's beloved friend, Constance Walmsley of Donora. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Robert and Thomas Kostella. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,http://www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
