Barbara Fabian Lesko, 72, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at San Nicolas Assisted Living, Tucson, Ariz. Born March 4, 1942, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late George Fabian Sr. and Margaret Modrak Fabian. A resident of Tucson for the past two years, Mrs. Lesko was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, was a graduate of Belmar High School and California University of Pennsylvania. She was a former school teacher and was later employed as an engineer for U.S. Steel. After her children were born, she dedicated herself to raising her two boys. She was a member of the former ladies auxiliary for the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, John M. Lesko II and wife, Jennifer Klaus, of Tucson, Ariz., and George Fabian Lesko and wife, Amber, of McDonald; grandson, Noah Lesko; and two additional grandsons arriving in the spring. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Lesko Jan.29, 2014; and her brother, George J. Fabian Jr. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayer service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Barbara Lesko Thursday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
