William R. Otrosina; 93; of Monessen; died Friday; Oct. 26; 2012; in Nevaeh Cove; North Charleroi. Mr. Otrosina was born in Johnstown on April 20; 1919; a son of the late Andrew and Anne Hudak Otrosina. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; having worked as a wire drawer and a die maker. Mr. Otrosina was also employed at Fosbrink Machine in Connellsville and Fayette Steel in Scottdale. He finally retired in 2005 at the young age of 86. Mr. Otrosina was a member for over 65 years of the Calvary United Presbyterian Church in Donora. He loved to garden; work on TV’s; repair clocks and watches; spend time with his family at BBQ’s in the backyard; photography and developing his own photos; and he loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was preceded in death by siblings; Andrew; Mary; Ernie; who died in infancy; and Robert. Survivors include his wife of 65 years; Veronica Balogh Otrosina; five children; William J. (Judy) Otrosina of Watkinsville Georgia; James R. (Debbie) Otrosina of Monessen; Janelle (Ernest) Halgas of Monessen; Craig (Lisa) Otrosina of Monessen; and Barry (Yvette) Otrosina of Glen Burnie; Md.; eight grandchildren; Susan Otrosina; Jonathan Otrosina; Kathryn Broullire; Joyce; James Jr.; Holly; and Sarah Otrosina; and Amanda Halgas; and one sister; Ethel Otrosina of Johnstown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday; Oct. 29; 2012; at the JAMES A. RABE FUNERAL HOME INC.; 701 Thompson Ave.; Donora; where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. James Bailey of Calvary United Presbyterian Church officiating.
