John F. Gido; 57; of Belle Vernon; went peacefully to be with the Lord; with his family by his side; on Thursday; June 30; 2011. The son of the late Anthony and Henrietta Francia Gido; he was born in North Charleroi on July 16; 1953. A graduate of Monessen High School in 1971; he was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen; had been employed in the blooming mill at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company; where he was a craneman; and then worked in the steam plant. For 20 years; John was a nurse in the Progressive Care Unit of Mon Valley Hospital until his illness. Survivors include his wife of 36 years; Kim Rainey Gido; two daughters and sons-in-law; Georgina and Regis Steedle; and Leann and Brad Bujdos; all of Belle Vernon; one son and daughter-in-law; John A. and Amber Dongilli Gido; of North Belle Vernon; his father-in-law; Art Steiner; two sisters and brothers-in-law; Dianne and Dennis Naccarato; and Anita and Ed Holmes; all of Monessen; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law; Gregg Rainey and Drew and Donna Delmastro Rainey; all of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Krysta and Ashton Steedle and Bradley and Rainey Bujdos; and several nieces and nephews. John is also survived by his three little Maltese girls; Holly; Cassie and Angel. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law; Edith Waiton Steiner; in 1999; and a sister-in-law; Tammy Drinkwater; in 2007.
