Obituary

Mary Ann Kroskie Miller, 71, of North Belle Vernon, died Friday, June 17, 2011, at 4:20 a.m. in her home. Born July 11, 1939, in Arnold City, she was the daughter of the late Frank Fats Kroskie and Stella Gordesky Kroskie of Fairhope. A resident of North Belle Vernon, Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, and was a member of the Naomi Athletic Club, where she served as treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She is survived by her husband, Kent Miller, to whom she was married for 50 years, two sons and daughter-in-law Ken Miller and companion, Connie Strychalski, of Belle Vernon, Jon and Joyce Miller, of Rostraver Township, two daughters and son-in-law, Terri and Brian Bartosik, of Monessen, and Kris Schmidt, of North Belle Vernon, five grandchildren, Kenny Miller II, John Miller, Ashley Schmidt, Nolan Miller and Cameron Miller, two sisters and brother-in-law, Jeanne and George Spisak, of Roscoe, and Stella Marie Kroskie, of Fairhope. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 19, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (724) 929-6183. Prayer service will be held Monday, June 20, at 12:15 p.m. in the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Mary Ann Miller Sunday at 3:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
