Obituary

Daniel Danny LaRoyal Carpenter II, of Monessen, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at the young age of 28. Born July 9, 1982, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Daniel LaRoyal Carpenter and Shirette Aldrich-Carpenter, who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Daniel L. Carpenter Sr. and Helen (Carl) Barbour. Danny, affectionately called Luver, was employed by Maronda Homes in Monessen, he attended Monessen School System and Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ. He loved to dress and always rocked a pair of Jay-Z and he was a diehard Steelers fan. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Shirette Aldrich-Carpenter (Jeffrey Carlock), sister, Danicca Carpenter (Eddie Cook), maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Rosetta Aldrich, one son, Daniel LaRoyal Carpenter III, a very special and loving friend, Marcia Tansmore, his extended family, Richard Street Jr., Jarrell Barbour, Jeffrey Carlock, Jevante Carlock and Richard Street Sr., who was like a father to him, and a host of other relatives and friends. Danny will be sorely missed by all. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. at the Gate of Heaven COGIC, 644 Reed Ave., Monessen, followed by funeral services officiated by Elder William C.
