Michael Wokaly; 78; of Belle Vernon (Washington Township); died Friday; April 15; 2011; in The Donnell House in Washington; Pa. Born in Monessen; Sept.22; 1932; he was a son of the late George and Susan Wokaly. Michael was a Korean War veteran; where he served his country as a staff sergeant in the Army. After obtaining a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh; Michael became a vocational education teacher of auto body repair at both Mon Valley and Steel Valley Vo-Techs; before retiring. He enjoyed gardening and driving to his camp in the mountains; as well as a good cup of coffee and good conversation with his many friends. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Mary Sue and Chetley Deiley; of Jefferson Hills; two sisters; Margaret Belline; of Canfield; Ohio; and Suzanne Steinmiller; of Bridgeport; W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; Michael was preceded in death by his wife; Goldie (Kerlin) Wokaly; his twin brother; George; and brothers; John and David Wokaly. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the JAMES C.
