Ruth Elizabeth Ellis;79;of Donora;departed this life peacefully on Thursday;July 1;2010;in the Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born Jan.17;1931;in Donora;daughter of the late James and Alberta Thomas Ellis. She was a retired elementary school teacher in the Ringgold school system. She received her teaching certificate frim the California State Teacher’s College of Pennsylvania;and was a member of the Donora Senior Citizens of Monongahela. She was a former member of First Baptist Church;of Donora. Surviving are her son;Derrick E.Ellis;of San Antonia;Texas;two grandchildren;Jordan and Ryder;sisters;Mary Harris of Garnerville;N.Y.;and Marie Gardner;of Donora;brother;George Ellis;of Donora;nieces;nephews;cousins;other relatives and many friends. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m.;Thursday;July 8;at the First Baptist Church;541 Allen Ave.;Donora;where services will be held Friday;July 9;at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Eric Johsnon officiating.
