Karen A. Savona; 64; of Brownsville; died Wednesday; Dec. 23; 2009; in Shadyside Hospital. She was born on Aug. 30; 1945; in Brownsville; a daughter of the late Frank and Veronica Shillings Partches. She is survived by two children; Michael Savona; of Philadelphia; and Tara Johnson and husband; Blair; of Brownsville; grandchildren; Kenley Anne and Aiden Johnson; three sisters; Alexis Valley; Veronica Kenney and Debra Galanoudis. Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME; 135 Park St.; Brownsville; on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.; where a prayer service will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m.; followed by a Funeral Mass at noon in the Historic Church of St. Peter; Brownsville; with the Rev. Father James Petrovsky as celebrant. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A wake service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
