Jean Z. Astle;91; formerly of Lynnwood; went to be with the Lord on Sunday; December 9; 2012 in Country Care Manor. A daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Mitius Zuro; she was born in Belle Vernon on March 10; 1921. Jean was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon and the Corning Retirees. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; she retired from the Corning Glass Works of Charleroi. Survivors include three sisters and one brother-in-law; Mary Jones; Doris and Skip Booth; all of Belle Vernon; and Ann Lee Mezoff of Belaire; MD; one brother and two sisters-in-law; Paul and Rose Marie Zuro of Elizabeth Twpand Loma Jean Benedetti of Monessen and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Woodrow ‘Woody’ Astle on May 26; 1996; two sisters; Olga Zuro and Eve Stiranka and five brothers; Steve; Bill; John; Mike and Peter Zuro.
