Obituary

Alan G. Muro, 44, of Belle Vernon, died Saturday, March 28, 2009. Born Aug. 20, 1964, in North Charleroi, he was the son of Judy (Frantz) Hummel, of Pitman, and the late Alan R. Muro. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, he was Catholic by faith and a self employed contractor. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 4 1/2 years, Shawndel Samoda Muro, of Belle Vernon, one daughter and son, Shannon and Sabatino Alan Muro, both of Charleroi, three stepdaughters, Courtney, Falyn and Hannah Samoda, all of Belle Vernon, two brothers, Anthony Alan Muro, currently serving with the U.S. Army, and Louis Muro, of Colorado, one sister and brother-in-law, Terri Ann and Matthew Mandia, of Harrisburg, two nephews, Justin and Jeremy Mandia, and one niece, Zoe Mae Baker. In addition to his father, was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sabatino and Margaret (Fazio) Muro, and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Margaret (DeMarco) Frantz. Relatives and friends will gather at the Belle Vernon Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, April 2, for a 10 a.m. funeral service and interment with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas, pastor of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, officiating. The LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183), is handling the arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made in memory of Alan G. Muro to the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home.
