Edith Ida Alexander; 95; formerly of Monessen; died Wednesday; Jan. 28; 2009; in Golden Living Center; Waynesburg. She was born in Monessen on Sept. 16; 1913; the daughter of the late Domenick and Mary (Arabia) Coccari. She grew up in Monessen and was a member of the former St. Cajetan Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by two brothers; James Coccari; of Sun City; Calif.; and Robert Coccari; of Monessen; and numerous nieces and nephews; including David Coccari; who cared for Edith for 10 years. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Alexander; four brothers; Joseph; Louis; Edward and Ernest P. Coccari; and one sister; Lena Venneri.
