Obituary

Loree L. (Conn) Blatnik, 41, of Belle Vernon, got her Angel Wings on Friday, March 19, 2010, in her home, as a result of her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Charleroi, April 22, 1968, a daughter of the late Eugene R. and Ilene J. Persico Conn. She was employed at the Physical Plant of California University of Pennsylvania, and was a previous employee of Sony Electronics in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church of Monessen, and Monessen High School Class of 1986 graduate. Loree was a fierce competitor in both Pool and Bowling leagues, belonging to the Eagles of Monessen 2399, French Club, PNA, Cal U, and Belgium Club. Surviving are her husband, Anthony Blatnik, two sons, A.J. and Connor Blatnik, a brother, Eugene R. Conn Jr. and Diane Hemmings, of Monessen, a sister, Renee I. and husband, Don Hardek, of Monroeville, an aunt, Phyllis and Mike Morgan, of North Huntingdon, and an uncle, Joseph Persico, of Monessen. She is also survived by her extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, who referred to her as Nuhn , and her dear friends who called her their Baby Girl. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph M. and Julia Persico, and Michael and Genieve Conn. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., family owned and operated as member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be received on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday with a blessing service at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Epiphany of Our Lord Church of Monessen with the Rev. David J. Nazimek officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
