Dora Gallo; 98; of Belle Vernon; died Friday; July 9; 2010; in Havencrest Nursing Center; Carroll Township. Born in Belle Vernon on Feb. 27; 1912; she was the daughter of the late August and Rose Sylvestre. A homemaker; Dora was a lifelong member of Olive Branch Baptist Church in Rostraver Township. Throughout the years; she taught the Whatsoever Class; worked with the Abiding Memorial Fund; and for many years taught Junior Class. She is survived by her daughter; Nancy Gallo; of Minneapolis; Minn.; a granddaughter; Amanda (Chris) Bartz; of Arizona; three great-grandchildren; Cody; Delaney; and Nicholas Bartz. In addition to her parents; Dora was preceded in death by her husband; Hugh E. Gallo; two daughters; Jacqueline Gallo and Shirley Gallo Succop; and a grandson; Robert Succop. Dora was the last surviving member of her family. Friends will be received on Tuesday; July 13; from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the JAMES C.
