Lavonne C. Farquhar; 88; of Belle Vernon; died at her home Saturday; Feb. 15; 2014. Born in Rostraver Township on Feb. 20; 1925; she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Elizabeth (Green) Barr. A homemaker; Lavonne was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Rostraver Township. She was an avid reader and loved to travel; go deep sea fishing and turkey hunting. She is survived by her husband; Frank Farquhar; two daughters; Susan F. (Durwood) Glotfelty of Smithton and Claudia J. (Donald) Everley of Star Junction; three granddaughters; Heidi (John) Swope; Crystal (Duane) Schoedel and Misty (Charles) Steiner; five great-grandchildren; Mitchell Casterwiler; Brooke Casterwiler; Teagan Moir; Chase Schoedel and Blake Schoedel; sister; Agnes Krivyanik of Fairhope; numerous nieces and nephews; and her three caregivers; Lori Catan; Ashley Mraz and Gloria Doyle. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by a sister; Kathryn Sickles. Private family visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the JAMES C.
