Olive Mae Cope; 88 of Fayette CIty; Pa; passed from this life on Sunday; October 4; 2009 in her residence with her family by her side.

She was born June 19; 1921 in Fayette City; Pa.; Daughter of the late John Lindey and the late Phyllis Davies Lindey. She was employed as a seamstress during World War II and later become a Homemaker.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years Paul Gus Cope; whom she married on February 14; 1942; Son; Rev. Paul G Cope; Pastor of Mars Alliance Church; and wife Connie Schleh Cope of Mars; Pa; 2 Daughters; Rev. Donna Lee Hoover; pastor of Abide in the Vine Fellowship; and husband Rev. Fred Hoover of Apalachin; NY and adopted daughter Dawn Hickey LaFrate of Clinton Twp.; MI; 11 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters: Sandra Cope and Karen Cope;2 brothers Lewis Lindey and Stanley Lindey;3 sisters Mary Jolley; Lavina Jones and Phyllis Hickey.

Friends will be received in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home; Inc.; Main St; Fayette City on Monday 7-9; Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.Additional Viewing will take place on Wednesday; October 7; 2009 from 10 till 11 AM in the Fayette City Alliance Church.
