Doris A. Tulley; 87; of Monessen; went to be with the Lord Sunday; Oct. 2; 2011; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Ernest and Amy Jones Astle; she was born in Stockdale on April 16; 1924. Doris was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church of Charleroi and resided in Altoona until moving to Monessen in 1998. She; along with her late husband; had managed the Scotch Valley Country Club in Hollidaysburg from 1971 to 1992. Survivors include one sister; Loma Jean Benedetti; of Monessen; with whom she made her home; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; including Jan Summers; of Coal Center and Ella Marie Davis; of Fayette City. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Lawrence Tulley in 1992; three sisters; Hazel Bandini; Marion Auther; and Florence Angelocci; and four brothers; Ernest Astle; Milton Astle; Woodrow Astle; and Raymond Astle.
