Mary Jean Hassen; 83; of Rochester; Ill.; previously of Belle Vernon; died Monday; March 28; 2011; in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield; Ill. The only child of Daniel Thomas Woods and Lillian Sichi Woods; she was born Dec. 6; 1927; in Monessen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years; James Robert Hassen Jr. Jean and was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. Jean is survived by two sons; James Robert Hassen III and his wife; Janet; of Greensburg; and Thomas Patrick Hassen and his wife; Lisa; of Rochester; Ill.; five grandchildren; Ryan; Erin; Lauryl; Patrick and Bethany; and one great-grandchild; Ezra James.
