Sara J. (Flora) Malaga, 96, of Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021. She was born July 11, 1925, daughter of the late Ross and Carrie (Basile) Flora. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George “Sam” Malaga, her son George D. Malaga, her brother Jack Flora and her sister Thelma Raboci. Sara was a member of St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon and worked at Valdiserri’s Bakery. She is survived by her daughter Patti Malaga Youngerman of Jeannette, grandchildren Bethany (Jason) Rayman of Greensburg, Jason (Erica) Youngerman of Irwin, and Tonya Malaga Robinson of Philadelphia; 5 great grandchildren, daughter in-law Cindy Malaga, and nieces and nephews. Sara spent the last one and a half years of her life at Transitions, North Huntingdon, and her family would like to express special thanks and appreciation to the staff for their care and compassion. Friends will be received from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200.
