Obituary

Ralph M. Hutton, 83, of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, in the Hallsworth House of Monessen. A son of the late Harry and Frances Winger Hutton, he was born in Jeannette on Nov. 21, 1925. Formerly of Jeannette, he had resided in Belle Vernon since 2000. Ralph served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Princeton and during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Intrepid. Ralph received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the Indiana Institute of Technology of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and retired in 1981 from Holcroft and Company of Livonia, Mich., where he was the vice president of erection. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Veronica 'Vera' Reho Hutton, two brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Hutton of Pahrump, Nev., Donald and Estelle Kemerer, of Sewickley, and Betty Clark, of Windermere, Fla., one brother-in-law, John Reho and wife Betty, of Belle Vernon, one uncle and aunt, Art and Jane Winger, of Spring Church, Pa., and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was loved by all who knew him. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-5300), www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 9 p.m. Sunday. Entombment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. If friends wish, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or stroke research.
