Zala Mae Haluschak; 78; of Charleroi; died Saturday; Oct. 18; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born May 18; 1930; in Charleroi; a daughter of the late John T. and Bessie Simpson Swann. Mrs. Haluschak is survived by two sisters; Elma Vaccariello and husband Frank; of Lakeland; Fla.; and Vella Sanfilippo and husband Joe; of Brecksville; Ohio; one brother; Donald Swann and wife Florence; of Gillespie; Ill.; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and a very dear friend; Dorothy Moyer. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband John Haluschak; and five brothers; John; Richard; Zeryl; Raymond and Bernarr Swann. Friends will be received Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC.; 226 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi; (www.schrock-hogan.com). Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home; followed by entombment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
