Patsy J. Denti; 102; formerly of Monessen; died Wednesday; Feb. 1; 2012; in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Newell on April 29; 1909; the son of the late Anthony and Nicolena (Barbarula) Denti. Mr. Denti resided in Monessen for 93 years before moving to Bethel Park to live with his son and daughter-in-law. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society; the Knights of Columbus No. 954; Sons of Italy; and the Italian Society of Mutual Aid. He retired with 50 years of service from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; having worked in the fabric department and the blooming mill. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mary D. (Altemara) Denti; whom he loved to dance with to the sounds of the Guy Lombardo and Glenn Miller bands. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Joseph P. and Sandra (Machusko) Denti; of Bethel Park; a grandson; Capt. Joseph R. Denti and Amanda Bowles; of Burke; Va.; a granddaughter; Suzanne M. and Jarod Stragand; of Moon Township; three great-grandsons; Joseph Nicholas Denti; Lucas Joseph and Jack David Stragand; and by nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife; he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. Services will be held on Saturday; Feb. 4; 2012; beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing in the funeral home; followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery Mausoleum. The Knights of Columbus No. 954 will conduct a prayer service on Friday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
