Joseph Delia Jr., 89 of Glassport, died Oct. 8, 2016. He is the son of the late Joseph and Philomena (DeFazio) Delia and husband of the late Stella (Williams) Delia. He is survived by son Joseph (Barbara) Delia of Glassport; daughter Melanie Miller of Glassport; grandchildren Jennifer (Jason Sillaman) Orris of Port Vue, Joan (Kertis) Henderson of Mebane, NC, Michael Hixenbaugh of Glassport and Dana Hixenbaugh of Glassport; great grandchildren Joseph Kerr, Ronald Orris, Erin Pastories, Nicholas Orris, Seth Ridge, Emmy Henderson, Richard Henderson and great granddaughter Stella Kerr. Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Delia; sisters Mary Zeli and Rose Delia and brother James Delia. Joseph was a retired assistant Police Chief of P @ LE Railroad and former Police Chief of North Belle Vernon; a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish; Western PA Chief of Police Association; American Legion Post 659; Club 22 in Glassport and Elizabeth Township Sportsman Association. He also served in the US Navy WWII. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport Tues. 2-4 and 6-8. A funeral mass will be held Wed. 10:00 am at Queen of the Rosary with Rev. Miroslaus Wojcicki. Entombment following Belle Vernon Cemetery.
