Obituary

Theresa A. Caruso, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. A daughter of the late Leonard and Phyllis Amodie Gatto, she was born in North Charleroi. Theresa was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and the Mon Valley Country Club. A resident of Belle Vernon most of her adult life, she had been employed at the former Wetterau Warehouse in Belle Vernon for 38 years and retired from Westinghouse Plant, Waltz Mill site. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gregory L. Caruso and Hollis Hall of Ligonier; one sister, Mary Lou Volante of Charleroi; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Fazzoni of Cokeburg and Esther Queen of Ashville, N.C.; nieces and nephews, James R. Fazzoni of Cokeburg, Mary Jo (Frank) Magaritz of Charleroi, Laurie (Brian) Ritter and Brian (Jennifer) Queen; and several loving great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Gregory A. "Buddy" Caruso on Dec. 20, 2003; one brother, James Fazzoni and a brother-in-law, Joseph Valante. A funeral Mass will be Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
