Harry F. Jarouse, 87, of Scottdale, formerly of Arnold City, Belle Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, in Westmoreland Excela Hospital. A son of the late Harry and Louise Gerein Jarouse, he was born in Monessen on May 17, 1927. Methodist by faith, he had resided in Scottdale for the past 10 years and was formerly of Arnold City. Harry graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in business management and retired from the former Ligget Spring and Axle Company of Monongahela where he was the plant manager. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an avid gardener, sharing his crops with his friends, and enjoyed taking walks and rodeos. Survivors include one sister, Evelyn Ramsden of West Berlin, N.J.; one nephew, Scott Ramsden, and children, of Brigantine, N.J.; and two nieces, Roberta Hess; her husband, William, and children, of West Berlin, N.J. and Rhonda Cislo, and her husband, Fred, of Clementon, N.J. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Marasco Jarouse on Jan. 18, 1996. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at noon Tuesday with the Rev. Ken Jones, pastor, of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
