Virginia Lovas Massey; 84; of Belle Vernon; died Monday; May 25; 2009; at 5:15 a.m. at Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born April 15; 1925; in Charleroi; she was the daughter of the late Steve and Julia Erdely Lovas. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 25 years; Mrs. Massey attended the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene; Belle Vernon and was a homemaker. She is survived by a son; Charles E. Massey of North Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Melissa Couch; Melinda Massey; Amanda Massey; and Sean Massey; five great grandchildren; Taylor Couch; Bradyn Massey; Kaida Massey; Cayden Massey; and Kiley Massey. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jules Massey Jr. on Jan. 5; 1979; a brother; Louis Lovas; a sister; Eleanor Koller; and a grandson; Chuckie Massey. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724) 929-6183.
