Andrew J. Ninchak; 61; of Ebensburg; formerly of North Belle Vernon died Tuesday; Aug. 18; 2009; at Select Specialty Hospital; Johnstown. Born Oct. 11; 1947; in North Charleroi; he was the son of the late George and Gemma (Jay) Lettori Ninchak. A resident of Ebensburg for the past year; Mr. Ninchak was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church; Belle Vernon; and a retired school teacher. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law; Gloria and Ted Kopantais; of Sarasota; Fla.; two stepsons; Joshua Leopold; of Fort Collins; Colo.; and Benjamin Leopold; of New York; N.Y.; a stepdaughter and husband; Rachael and Joseph St. Martin; of Saratoga Springs; N.Y.; stepgrandson Atticus St. Martin; sister and brother-in-law; Joann and Barry Adams; of Ebensburg; four nieces; Amanda and Amy Adams; both of Ebensburg; Lauren Valentina; of Fairfax; Va.; and Katina Markley of Olympia; Wash. He was preceded in death by his wife; Olivia Picchiarini Leopold Ninchak; on Dec. 21; 2008. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. Prayer Service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. James Bump as celebrant.
