Dorothy Karbowsky, 96, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at TLC Personal Care Home, West Newton. Born June 11, 1928, in North Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Karbowsky Sr. and Helen Furtak Karbowsky. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, Dorothy was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, worked as a clerk at Standard Pharmacy in North Belle Vernon, then retired from Mellon Bank and First Federal Savings Bank, where she worked as a teller. She enjoyed dancing several times a week and reading. She is survived by sister-in-law, Marsha Karbowsky; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers and spouses, Daniel, Michael (Mary), Joseph Jr. (Mary), Walter, William (Pauline) and John Karbowsky; two sisters, Florence and Helen Karbowsky; and sister- in-law, Marsha Karbowsky. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Relatives and friends are to gather directly at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church at 10 a.m. Friday for funeral services with the Very Rev. Stephan Gresh officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
