Dolores C. "Dolly" Jones, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, in Stuart, Fla. A daughter of the late Peter Paul and Mary Lanese D’Errico Church, she was born in Monessen on Sept. 24, 1932. A resident of North Belle Vernon for most of her adult life, she was a member and the church secretary at St. Sebastian church. She was also a tax collector in the county. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Steve) Walsh of Stuart, Fla.; granddaughter, Jennifer (Luke) Malecki of Buffalo, N.Y.; and three great-grandchildren, Leah, Taylor and Lincoln of Buffalo, N.Y.; three sisters, Lenora Potts of North Carolina, Rose (John) McShane of Monessen, and Carmella (Bill) Reynolds of Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mae D’Errico, Clara Jones of Belle Vernon, George and Nan Jones of Monroeville and Jean D’Errico of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Jones on April 12, 1978; sisters, Jean Germock and Marie Bradley; and brothers, James, Edward and Thomas D’Errico and Raymond Church. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart, Fla. on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at 10 a.m. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Sebastian Church in Belle Vernon on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. followed by the interment at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
