Eva D. Pearce; 87; formerly of Rostraver Township; passed away on Saturday; Sept. 26; 2009; in the Pine Lawn Personal Care Home; Houston; Pa. A daughter of the late David LaFayette Schafer and Ida Kratz Schafer; she was born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 20; 1921. She had resided in Rostraver Township since 1959; and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Lynn and Shirley Parshall; two grandchildren; George Parshall and Roslyn Sutton; and two great-grandchildren; Joseph and Ryan; all of Perryopolis. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; George Pearce in 1979; a daughter; Twila Strickler in 1992; and a brother; Edgar Kratz.
