Doris Jane Gates; 95; formerly of Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord Sunday; April 8; 2012; in Nevaeh Cove Personal Care Home. A daughter of the late John and Julia Ramsey; she was born Nov. 7; 1916; in Rice’s Landing. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belle Vernon and an avid bingo player. Jane resided most of her adult life in Belle Vernon; except for 17 years in Bentleyville from 1952 through 1969. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Russell L. and Mary L. Gates; of Bentleyville; one grandchild; Lisa Leach and husband; Daniel; of Bentleyville; two great-grandchildren; Hunter D. and Hannah M. Leach; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Roy R. Gates; Dec. 25; 2008; three brothers; William; Warren and Glenn Ramsey; and two sisters; Vera Jones and Donna Matson.
