Marie B. Kostal Koliscak, 92, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014. Born July 15, 1922, in Gillespie, Fayette City, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Justina Krivda Kostal. A resident of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, Mrs. Koliscak was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Belle Vernon VFW Post 3557, the former St. Sebastian Church Ladies Guild, the Fayette City and Belle Vernon Golden Agers, the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas B.V. Court 1522, Friends of the Veterans, Belle Vernon, and was an avid bingo player at North Belle Vernon, Washington Township Lock Four, and Rostraver Fire Halls. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Jacqueline Koliscak, of Belle Vernon, Bernard and Rosemary Koliscak, of Rostraver Township, with whom she made her home, Malcom and Joni Koliscak, of Franklin, W. Va., and Michael and Sandra Koliscak, of Bear Rocks; daughter, Michele Geckle, of Latrobe; a sister, Agnes Molnar, of Gillespie; nine grandchildren, Jason Koliscak and wife, Melanie, Brian Koliscak and wife, Amy, Kevin Koliscak and wife, Jennifer, Cory Koliscak and wife, Claudia, Jenna Koliscak, Jared Koliscak, Dr. Lindsey Goldman and husband, Dr. Matthew Goldman, Nathan Paterra and wife, Dawn, and Nina Henderson and husband, Bryan; 12 great-grandchildren, Logan, Madelyn, Luke, Addison, Alexis, Lanie and Clark Koliscak, Jackson, Ava and Ella Henderson and Nolan and Teagan Paterra. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Koliscak (Aug. 7, 1979); three sisters, Johanna Turcheck, Helen Sedlak and Jessie Claybaugh; and a son-in-law, Ronald Geckle. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME and CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayer Service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Monsignor Roger A. Statnick, Pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Marie Koliscak at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
