Ruth Evans, 88, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Pricedale, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Lawson',s Personal Care Home, Jefferson Hills. A daughter of the late Christ and Bertha Gilitsky Mueller, she was born in Sheboygan, WI on August 12, 1926. Ruth was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen, the Ladies Auxiliary of the church and the Center on the Hill. She had resided in Belle Vernon for the past three years and was formerly of Pricedale. She had been employed at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Jimmie Evans of Henderson, KY and Gregory and Cathie Evans of Finleyville, four grandchildren, Kelly Short and her husband Justin, Melanie Susani and her husband Tony, V.J. Evans and George Evans, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Evans in 1971 and three brothers, Emil, Walter and Albert Mueller. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
