Obituary

Ruth V. Riskey, 92, formerly of Charleroi, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Wray and Martha Miller Clutter, she was born in Washington on October 17, 1921. She, along with her late husband, were the owners and operators of the former Twilight Campgrounds for over twenty years, and were responsible for starting the Interstate Campground signs on the interstate highway system. Survivors include one daughter, Jeanie Padavich of Luzerne Twp., one son and daughter-in-law, Paul R. and Connie Riskey of Carroll Twp, four sisters, Pat Dawson of Beallsville, Mauva Richey of West Alexander, June Leeper of Mentor, OH and Martha Rae Johnson of Atlanta, GA, five grandchildren, Paul Riskey, Jr. and his wife Terri of Peters Twp., Dan Riskey and his wife Sherry of Fallowfield Twp., Todd Riskey and his wife Shannon of Peters Twp., Becky Lipinski and her husband Brian of Peters Twp., and Bob Clark, Jr. and his wife Annette of Pittsburgh, twelve great-grandchildren, Dan Riskey, Jr., Carter Riskey, Sara Riskey, Kurtis Riskey, Todd Riskey, Jr., Zoe Lipinski, Bree Lipinski, Belle Lipinski, Hannah Clark, Chelsey Clark, Savannah Ford and Braden Basso. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Fred R. Riskey on March 18, 2008. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
