Obituary

Irene Fusco Chambers, 98, of North Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at New Dawn Thorpes Personal Care Home. She was born in Rostraver on Sept. 11, 1916, a daughter of the late Robert and Lila Popp Foulks. Irene was a resident of Belle Vernon since 1970 and prior to that she resided in Monongahela. She worked for the Government primarily involved with the relocation program that helped California University expand its campus. Following her retirement, she was an office manager for JC Penny in Monessen. She was also a member of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward "Bucky" Fusco; her second husband, John Chambers; and two brothers, Robert and Sherwood Foulks. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Cole Legeza of Kingsport, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Joseph Coleman Legeza of Kingsport, Tenn., and Kristen and her husband, Brian Irvin, of Fall Branch, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Rene' Legeza and Amanda Leigh Irvin. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave. Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the funeral home Wednesday at 10 a.m., with the Pastor Eugene H. Spear officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
