Constance D. Puglia; 96; of Belle Vernon; passed away Wednesday; June 29; 2011; at The Residence at Hilltop. A daughter of the late Antonio and Vittoria (Angotti) DeSimone; she was born in Cosenza; Italy; on April 30; 1915; and came to the U.S. in July of 1926. Connie was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in North Belle Vernon; where she served as a eucharistic minister. Prior to retirement; she was a hairdresser for over 65 years and was the owner and operator of Connie’s Beauty Salon. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Paul A. and Deborah Puglia; of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren; Whitney Wesley and husband; Justin; Alan Puglia and Brett Puglia. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Paul R. Puglia; in 1994; and three sisters; Rose DeSimone; Theresa Palmer and Angelina Teringo. Statnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed in the funeral home Thursday at 3 p.m. led by the members of St. Sebastian Parish.
