Obituary

Leatrice C. DeHosse, 84, of Monessen, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009, in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Gans, Pa., the daughter of the late Earl V. and Florence (Maxon) Blevins. She had worked for several years in the purchasing department at the former Admiral Homes and was retired from the coupon department at SuperValu Inc. Mrs. DeHosse was a member of the United Methodist Church in Monessen and its Women's Society and choir, a past president of the former Monessen Women's Club, the Mon Valley Hospital Auxiliary, the Friends of the Monessen Library and the Tuesday Bridge Club. She is survived by five cousins: Frank Schollaert and wife Alta, of Belle Vernon, Jack Schollaert and wife Karen, of Coal Center, Peggy Tomayko and husband Ed, of Belle Vernon, Tom Schollaert and wife Lonie, of Tennessee, and George Marchant and wife Glenda, of Maryland, one niece, Karen Webber and husband Ned, of Colorado, two nephews: Robert Blevins and wife Paula, of Acme, and James Blevins and wife Patty, of Philadelphia, and two sisters-in-law: Muffy Blevins, of Belle Vernon, and Marlene Toth and husband Ron, of New York. She will be sadly missed by her extended family of great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis S. DeHosse, brother, Earl Blevins Sr., and nephew, Earl Blevins Jr. Friends will be received Thursday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 17, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bruce Northey and the Rev. Mark Schollaert co-officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
