Lois M. Brudnak; 79; of Charleroi; passed away after a brief illness on Saturday; Jan. 15; 2011; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Florent and Jean (Balliard) Theys; she was born Dec. 28; 1931; in Charleroi. She was a former member of the Charleroi Recreation Board and worked for 25 years for Ducoeur Furniture in Charleroi. Left to cherish the many memories of Lois are her daughter; Lois MacDonald and husband; Sean; of Charleroi; son; Michael; with whom she resided; of Charleroi; four grandchildren; Kelli Brudnak; Brett May; Bryan May and wife; Sandra; and Lisa Hartley and husband; Rick; five great-grandchildren; Carley; Lauren and Leah Hartley; and Zach and Alex May; three great-grand puppies; Rex and Benji Hartley and Santana Brudnak; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Michael; who passed away June 4; 2007; brother; George Theys; daughter; Claudia Brudnak May; and great-grandson; Braden Michael Hartley. Friends will be received on Monday; Jan. 17; from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the MELENYZER-DUBARR FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES INC.; 825 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi; where a funeral service will be held Tuesday; Jan. 18; at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
