Lenore Jones Patterson; 89; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Monday; April 13; 2009; in her home. Born July 1; 1919; in Charleroi; she was the daughter of the late Bert and Ella (McCracken) Jones. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Warren O. Patterson; on June 13; 1995; four brothers; Norman; Leonard; Carl and Arthur Jones; five sisters; Garnet Butler; Pearl Coyle; Ethel Turner; Vivian Jones and Viola Zorek. Mrs. Patterson was the last surviving member of her family. Lenore was last employed as a teacher’s aide for 16 years in the Belle Vernon Area School District; having retired in June 1962. She was an active member of Pricedale Union Church; having served in several offices. She served as church clerk from January 1985 until her retirement in December 2006. She is survived by her son and grandson; Mark A. Patterson and Mark A. Patterson Jr.; with whom she made her home. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the JAMES C.
