Mary (Strychalski) Belczyk, 101, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at 9:25 p.m. at Victoria House, Monessen. Born April 3, 1913, in Cardale, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Glasser Strychalski. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Belczyk was a member of St. Joseph Polish National Catholic Church, Fairhope, where she was very involved. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking. She is survived by a brother, Stanley Strychalski, of Belle Vernon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Belczyk, Feb. 6, 1998; four brothers, Edward Strychalski, John Strychalski, Walter A. Strychalski Sr. and Joseph Strychalski; and four sisters, Florence Rovney, Mildred Spazak, Nellie Gombo and Ann Glister. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME and CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Polish National Catholic Church, Fairhope, with the Rev.
