Elane Laszewski; 91; of San Marcos; Texas; formerly of Belle Vernon; on Jan. 9; 2012; in Central Texas Medical Center; San Marcos; Texas. Born in Belle Vernon; on Feb. 13; 1920; she was the daughter of the late Robert and Thora Trew Hamer. She was an active member of the Marion Presbyterian Church; Belle Vernon Golden Agers. Elane was an avid sports fan; following her sons athletic careers from little league through college. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates. She was well-known for her baked goods and divinity candy. Elane delighted friends and family with her sweet treats during the holidays. Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Carl; in 1984; a sister; Pearl Hamer Stewart; and a nephew; former NFL official; James Hamer. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Brian (Janet ) Laszewski; of Nevillewood; Collier Township; and Lee (Leah) Laszewski of San Marcos; Texas; two granddaughters; Anna (Dan) Bryne of Wey Mouth; Mass.; and Susan Laszewski; of Washington D.C.; one nephew; Richard Alan Stewart; of Belle Vernon; great-niece; Jamie (Brett) Kerns; of Belle Vernon; great-nephew; Lee Stewart; of Belle Vernon; a great-great-niece; Lily; and a great-great-nephew; Liam.
