Obituary

Suzanne Pawluk, 65, of Carroll Twp., went to be with the Lord Monday, May 16, 2016 in Canterbury Place, Lawrenceville. A daughter of Joan Loretta Sterner Peters, who survives and resides in Belle Vernon and the late Robert I. Peters, she was born in North Charleroi on January 15, 1951. Suzanne was a member of First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and worked as a Registered Nurse at Mon Valley Hospital for over 25 years until her retirement. Suzanne loved her entire family. She enjoyed being with them and doing for them. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. She loved her church family as well and was very active in her church, whether it was helping in the nursery or assisting with a project, she always did what was necessary. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 45 years William T. Pawluk; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William R. (Kim) Pawluk and Michael T. Pawluk both from Pittsburgh; one daughter and son-in-law, Laurie (Tracy) Mortenson of Gresham, OR; two sisters, Sharon Lynn of Fayette City and Karen Monack of Belle Vernon; and three grandchildren, Dawson Mortenson, Cienna Mortenson, and Chloe Mortenson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert J. Peters in 2013, her sister Bobbi Rae Monack in 1997, and an infant son in 1973. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday with Pastor Ronald Malm officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
