Obituary

Ella May Owens, 96, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. A daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Worrell Britt, she was born on June 11, 1927 in N. Charleroi. Ella lived in Lynnwood for over 65 years, loved shopping, reading gossip magazines, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, never missing a game. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Lohr of Smithton, one grandson, Justin (Sarah) Lohr of Rostraver Twp., and one great granddaughter, Alainah Lohr. In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Owens on March 1, 1998, one sister, Emma Book, and three brothers, James, Emler, and John Britt. There will be no public visitation or funeral services. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
