Obituary

Marvin P. Radek, 80, of Pricedale, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, in the Family Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Pittsburgh. A son of the late Charles and Margaret Corbett Radek, he was born in Pricedale on Jan. 25, 1935. Marvin was a lifelong resident of Pricedale, where he was a member of the Char-Belle Free Methodist Church. He was a Machinist for Lee Norse, a division of Ingersol Rand in Charleroi and was a Tool Maker of Air Search of California in 1980. Marvin served his country during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. Survivors include four sons, Paul Marvin Radek of California, Pa., Lawrence Frederick Radek, Karl Michael Radek of Charleroi and Ray Richard Radek of Donora; a daughter, Diane Jean Radek of Donora; a grandson, Jacob Radek of California, Pa.; a brother, Harry Radek of Pricedale as well as his former wife and close friend, Leah of California, Pa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Fred Radek. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com, 724-929-5300. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery with full military honors.
