Stanley Kobosky; 91; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); died Wednesday; July 9; 2008; in The Uniontown Hospital. He was born September 9; 1916; in Smithton; a son of the late Walter Kobosky and the late Mary Sleyzak Kobosky. He was retired from General Motors; Fisher Body plant. Mr. Kobosky was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post No. 659; the Fairhope Rod & Gun Club and Naomi AC Club. Surviving are three daughters; Pauline Tingey and Christine Page; both of London; and Bernadine Vivian; of Carlisle; brother; Carl Kobosky; of Oklahoma City; Okla.; three sisters; Katie Olesko; of New Jersey; Alma McLaughlin; of Belle Vernon; and Sara Farkas; of Monessen; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and two special nieces; Judith Vollmar and Patricia Polacek; both of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by a son; Stanley Kobosky; brother; Walter Kobosky; and two sisters; Helen Vollmer and Anna Moyers. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City (724-326-5621); on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday; July 12; until 10 a.m.; when a blessing service will take place with the Rev. Leonard McAlpin officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
