Robert N. Como; 81; of Monessen; died Friday; April 15; 2011; at 11:47 a.m. at Kindred Hospital; Oakdale. Born June 26; 1929; in Monessen; he was the son of the late Nicholas and Frances Tocco Como. Mr. Como was a member of Epiphany Of Our Lord Church; Monessen; was a retired chief chemist from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen Plant; member of the Monessen Elks; the American Iron and Steel Institute; and served as a former chairman of the United Way and past district commissioner of the Boy Scouts. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Kent and Lisa Como; of Bethel Park; a daughter; Jennifer Como; of South Fayette Township; three grandchildren; Joshua; Gabriella and Nicholas Como; and his beloved companions; Boca and Keys. He was preceded in death by his wife; Joyce Biagini Como; who passed away on Aug. 27; 1998; two brothers; James and Raymond Como; and a sister; Norma Como.
